The Buchta Family

Banyan Properties Group was founded by the Buchta family with a simple conviction: that residential real estate could be done with more care, more communication, and a longer horizon than the industry typically delivers.

We started in Rochester, NY — our home market — acquiring properties in the neighborhoods where we live and work. Every acquisition was personal. Every renovation was done to a standard we'd hold for our own home. Every tenant relationship was treated as a long-term partnership.

Today, we've extended that approach to Southwest Florida, where we manage premium coastal properties with the same family-operated discipline. Two markets, one family, one standard.

We're also affiliated with Banyan Capital Group, our private investment arm — which allows us to approach real estate with the rigor of institutional underwriting and the accountability of family ownership.
